MAGPOWR to Host Tension & Torque Control Seminar

October seminar to provide comprehensive overview of tension control technology, free to OEMs and end-users.

Oklahoma City, OK – MAGPOWR announces it will host a Tension & Torque Control Seminar October 11-13 in Oklahoma City. This seminar will provide a thorough understanding of web tension and torque control methods and is offered free of charge to OEM’s and End-Users, including hotel and meal expenses.

Participants receive in-depth presentations on tension and torque control followed by hands-on demos and real-world application problems.  Participants learn how to select the correct tension components, such as controls, load cells, power supplies, brakes and clutches. Details are presented about the newest technologies and how they can effect today’s operations.

Participants vary from Engineering to Maintenance to Technical Support. Many of the people who attend this class are faced with difficult applications and need advice; others simply need to know more about the machinery that they are running. Every attendee leaves with a better understanding of tension control alternatives and are equipped with the tools to solve problems at their own plant.

Opportunities to work one-on-one exist for every attendee to this seminar. Attendees are encouraged to bring details about their specific application so that they can spend time working on possible solutions with Application Engineers and experienced MAGPOWR personnel.

“I am learning how outdated our current equipment is, and what may be causing some of the problems that we are experiencing.” One customer commented. Another described the seminar, “I have heard of other manufacturers offering seminars at a large expense to the customer. This is the first instance I have seen where such in-depth information is offered at no cost.”

“Our goal is to supplement our customer’s tension control knowledge so they can recognize deficiencies with their current solutions and give them a basic understanding of the new technology of tension control and its benefits to the product and operator”, describes Darrell Whiteside, Distribution Channel Manager for MAGPOWR.  “We find that a lot of customers bring specific application problems to us that they would like to eliminate, and we dedicate engineers to solve that customer’s specific problem.”
